It can be used as an alternative to embossing to create texture and dimension and is more resilient to dents and wear

 Etch depths from0.01mm To 0.5mm Must apply clear coat to bind etch aluminum product unless substrate is anodized, chromate conversion or irradiated etching.

Advantage:  Permanent identification Can be "Blind Etched" or paint filled (multiple colors are available).

Disadvantage:  Resist is applied with a screen printing process, making sequential serial numbers for I.D. tags non-cost effective.More expensive than conventional screen printing
